Can I add spot UV to silk paper?
Great question! Spot UV can only be printed on Silk paper if you're ordering Business Cards on our website. The smooth, slightly glossy surface of Silk paper is ideal for achieving that beautiful raised, shiny effect. If you're set on using a different paper stock, get in touch with our Bespoke Team.
How do I setup my artwork for spot UV?
Spot UV artwork is super easy to set up. For this we need either a 3 page PDF or 3 separate PDF's:
- Print-only version – a file containing only the CMYK artwork, with no spot UV elements.
- Spot UV-only version – a file showing only the areas to receive spot UV, set to 100% black.
- Print + spot UV version – a full artwork file showing both the CMYK printed areas and the spot UV elements.
