Silk coated paper has a low surface sheen and luxurious feel. It offers excellent ink to paper contrast, and printed colours appear bright and defined.
Gloss coated paper has a high surface shine and a very smooth finish. Printed colours 'pop up' and appear extra vibrant, making it a favourite choice for promotional items. Ink dries well on gloss paper, so you're unlikely to need lamination.
Our uncoated paper has a soft finish and tactile quality. Because it's more absorbent than coated paper, printed inks appear flatter. It's the best choice for stationery as it's easy to write on.
Our classic recycled paper has an uncoated, coarse texture and slightly flecked appearance. This paper is more absorbent than coated varieties, so finished print appears flatter for a more modern feel to colours and designs.

Spine Width: mm
When setting up your artwork, add your newly calculated spine width to your page dimensions for the correct printing and binding size.
When designing your cover, remember to keep all your text and artwork 5mm away from the spine so it doesn't get cut off when it's finished.
We do not advise putting text on your spine if it is less than 5mm wide.
