What is a Professional File Check?

For a small fee, an expert member of our technical team will manually review your artwork before it goes to print so you can press 'go' with complete confidence. If you've ordered multiple products, you can choose to add a Professional File Check to individual jobs or your entire order. We'll check your file for common print setup issues and, where possible, fix them before production. If we find anything that needs your attention, we'll contact you and place your order on hold until you've updated and re-uploaded your artwork. We'll check things like: Image resolution for print quality Bleed and safe areas Page count and page order on folded products Corrupt, blank or password-protected files Templates left on artwork Folds, cut lines, drill holes and binding areas (where applicable) Foil alignment and minimum line widths (where applicable) Personalisation files and version quantities (where applicable) A Professional File Check doesn't include: Spelling, grammar or proofreading Design, layout or text sizing advice Colour accuracy or colour mode checks (RGB/CMYK) QR code testing Calendar date checks Post-print quality inspection beyond our standard production processes See a full list of what's included here . Adding a Professional File Check won't delay your estimated delivery date, unless we need you to amend and re-upload your artwork after we've reviewed it. To upgrade to a Professional File Check, simply select the option when you upload your artwork. We'll take care of the rest and let you know if we spot anything that needs your attention before your job goes to print.

How much space is required between Stickers?

When adding the shape outlines you want your Stickers cut to, make sure none of your outlines are within 4mm of each other or the edge of your document. This ensures that each Sticker is perfectly printed and cut without any overlap. For designs that print right to the edge of your Stickers, remember to add a bleed of 2mm past the cutline. This little bit of extra space guarantees a clean, professional finish on each Sticker, making them look their absolute best.

Does the quantity for Custom Sticker Sheets relate to the amount of Stickers or the amount of sheets?

When you choose the quantity for our Custom Sticker Sheets, it refers to the number of sheets, not individual Stickers. You'll upload your artwork for the entire size area, with the freedom to create a custom design with multiple Stickers within the available space. Can I print white ink or a white underbase on my Biodegradable Holographic Stickers?

Currently, we don’t offer white ink printing or a white underbase for our Holographic Stickers. However, you’ll still enjoy the stunning holographic effect! The holographic material will shine through your CMYK inks, while any white areas in your design will remain transparent, creating a beautiful, eye-catching finish. What are Custom Sticker Sheets?

Custom Sticker Sheets let you create a completely bespoke kiss-cut sticker layout across an entire sheet, meaning you can include multiple different designs, shapes, and sizes, all on one sheet. What size sheets can Custom Stickers be printed on?

Custom Sticker Sheets are available in three standard sizes: A4, A5 and A6. Our most popular option is the A5 sheets of Custom Stickers, a versatile mid-size format that works well for a wide range of designs and quantities.

Which material should I choose?

The best material depends on the surface you're applying your Stickers to and the environment they'll be used in. Here's a quick guide to help you choose the right option: Need food-safe Stickers? Choose White Eco Vinyl, Biodegradable Uncoated or White Gloss if your Stickers will come into contact with dry, non-fatty food. For applications involving moist or fatty foods, White Gloss is the ideal choice, with both the face material and adhesive certified for food contact. Looking for an eco-friendly option? White Eco Vinyl, Biodegradable Uncoated and Biodegradable Holographic are all compostable and independently certified to TÜV Austria Home Compost and EN13432 Industrial Compost standards, making them a great choice for environmentally conscious brands. Need something waterproof and durable? White Vinyl offers excellent durability with a waterproof, UV-resistant finish that's suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It also provides good resistance to oils and many chemicals, making it ideal for long-lasting labels and Stickers. Want to make your designs stand out? What's the difference between Custom Sticker Sheets and Custom Shape Sticker Sheets?

Great question! The main difference is how many different Sticker designs you can have on the sheet. Custom Shape Sticker Sheets are designed for one custom-shaped Sticker design , repeated across the sheet. The number of Stickers you get depends on the size of your design and how many can fit on the sheet. They’re a great choice for smaller runs of a single design, such as logos, branding or packaging Stickers. Custom Sticker Sheets give you more flexibility to print lots of different Sticker designs on one sheet. They’re available in three A-sizes, and you can use the sheet to create multiple custom-shaped Stickers in different designs, sizes and shapes. They’re particularly useful for Sticker collections, product ranges, or businesses looking to resell Sticker sheets. So, in short: choose Custom Shape Sticker Sheets if you want lots of copies of one design, or Custom Sticker Sheets if you want lots of different designs on one sheet.

Quick tips to print perfection

We like to be as flexible as possible, so you can upload your files as PDF, JPEG, TIFF and PNG. PDF's and JPEGs are the most accepted file type across all our products, so we recommend using those wherever possible.

Bleed is an area of print outside the document that must be added to your artwork before it’s sent off for print. By adding the all-important bleed (a minimum of 3mm on all edges), there’ll be no risk of white space left on your document and it'll be trimmed correctly without cutting into any design. Some products require a different amount of bleed, so be sure to check our downloadable templates to find out the correct amount.

The safe area is the space inside where your print will be trimmed. Keeping any important parts of your design away from this area will make sure that they aren’t accidentally trimmed off due to the natural movement while your print gets finished. Our downloadable templates will indicate the recommended amount of safe area for your print.

RGB is the colour gamut used to display images on a computer screen, and stands for Red, Green and Blue. CMYK is the colour gamut used for conventional printing, and stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Unless you’re printing Giclée Fine Art Prints or Photographic Prints, please set up your artwork in CMYK.

Our Versions service lets you print multiple designs using the same product specifications. For instance, if you have five different designs that share the same size, orientation, and paper stock, you can print them all at once using this service. By opting for Versions, you're increasing your overall quantity, which means you'll enjoy a lower cost per unit. To use Versions, simply select "yes" in the product builder when prompted with "Do you want to print more than one design?". When using Versions, the quantity you enter in the product builder applies to each design. For example, if you choose a quantity of 10 with 5 Versions, you'll receive a total of 50 prints.

Personalisation is a simple, cost-effective way to tailor each of your individual prints. You can use personalisation for different text elements like names, addresses, and even personalised messages. However, if the text content on your design is the same for all prints, you don't need personalisation. There are two main options for personalising your print - you can either choose to add the personalised elements to your artwork yourself, or send us your artwork with a placeholder and a CSV containing a list of all the names/ personalised elements, and we’ll merge the two for you.

If you don’t embed fonts and your document is opened on another computer system that doesn’t have access to the original fonts, different fonts will be substituted instead. This could really affect the look of your finished print. Embedding fonts into your original design will stop them from changing.

Remember to save your artwork out at a minimum of 300dpi resolution. This will ensure that when printed, your artwork quality is as crisp as possible.

If you've chosen a shape for your print (such as arch, wavy, circle or pebble where available), you'll find templates for these shapes on additional layers within the standard square or rectangular template. Download the template for the correct size, then delete the layers you don't need, leaving the layer for your chosen shape as a guide while creating your artwork. Delete all template layers before saving and uploading your artwork. This will prevent the template from being printed on top of your design.

How long will my print take to arrive?

Find out how quickly you can get your print by filling in your selected options in the product builder, and check out the delivery options at the bottom. You can also explore the available delivery options from your basket once you’ve added a product.

You’ll notice that if you put multiple items into your basket, they may be sorted into “delivery groups” based on delivery days, in order to help us ship your items as quickly and efficiently as possible. Find out more about delivery groups here.

What should I know before preparing artwork for print?

Here are the 7 key things you need to know before preparing your artwork to be printed with us:

For the best print results, all artwork files should be at least 300dpi (dots per inch) when saved at the actual size they will appear in your design. This ensures that your final printed project is sharp and clear, not blurry or pixelated.

How do I set up my score cut layer?

A score cut is the outline that determines your Sticker's shape and edges, ensuring it’s trimmed perfectly to match your design. It acts as a guide for the production process, indicating exactly where the cutting machine should trim your sticker. Setting up the score cut correctly is crucial for achieving high-quality results, so it’s worth taking the time to follow these steps carefully:

1. Open your design file and add a new layer specifically for the score cut layer

Start by adding your sticker outline to the ‘Score Cut’ layer. Use a 0.75pt stroke and set the colour to C60 M0 Y70 K0 for clear identification. Name the layer ‘Score Cut’ to keep your file organised, and make sure it’s set to ‘not print’ by double-clicking the layer and adjusting the settings. This ensures the cut line doesn’t appear in the final print but is used for precise cutting

2. Work in CMYK colour mode

Always work in CMYK colour mode for the most accurate and vibrant colour reproduction during printing. RGB colours may not translate well to print and could lead to unexpected results.

3. Draw your desired shape on the "Score Cut" layer

Use your design software to carefully trace the custom shape you want. Keep cut shapes simple, opt for clean, smooth outlines and avoid overly intricate shapes, jagged edges, or unnecessary fine details. Simpler shapes ensure better cutting quality and prevent delays in production. Ensure cut lines are precise and spaced at least 4mm apart from each other and the document's edge to avoid overlapping cuts or production issues.

4, Add a 3mm bleed To avoid white edges, extend your design

3mm beyond the edge of your sticker, creating a bleed area that will be trimmed during production. Be mindful not to place critical elements, such as text, logos, or intricate details, in this bleed area, as they risk being partially or fully trimmed when the sticker is cut and peeled. Always keep important design elements within the safe area.

5. Make sure the cutline layer is set not to print

Once your design is complete, go to File > Export and select Adobe PDF (Print) to ensure the highest quality output. Use the PDF/X-4:2008 preset for optimal compatibility and printing standards. Under the `Marks and Bleeds` section, tick “Use Document Bleed Settings” to ensure the bleed area is properly included in the exported file. This step is crucial for achieving a polished final product.
