Gold, Silver, Red or maybe even Holographic? Whatever foil you go for, you’re guaranteed to create standout for your Greeting Cards. Foiling adds a beautiful shine to your design as well as making your print feel more luxurious. You might choose to highlight small elements of your design or go all out with a foiled background. We love how Liz Harry has highlighted the border and text elements in this design.

We offer two different types of foiling at Printed.com; Digital Foiling and Block Foiling. You can find out a bit more about the difference between the two right here. Either way this special finish is going nowhere!

Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2023 has been announced as Viva Magenta. A fusion of blue and violet red, Pantone describe it as ‘a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength‘.

Being well-suited to an array of textures and finishes, this deep, powerful shade is the perfect colour to incorporate into your Greeting Card designs. Paired with one of our textured paper stocks, or brought to life with a special finish – the possibilities are endless when exploring this colour trend.

Belly Bands are fast becoming the perfect accessory to add something extra to your Greeting Card merchandising. Designed to neatly secure a collection of Greeting Cards, these simple strips of paper are a cost-effective, eco-friendly way of packaging up your cards for resale.

Why not add your logo, website or social media handles to each Belly Band, to keep your business front of mind? If you’re packaging up for stockists, wholesale or a market – these provide an additional opportunity for stand-out on the shelf. Just check out these designs by Georgia Makes if you don’t believe us!

The best part? You can choose between a variety of paper stocks to suit your brand including Kraft, Vellum and even our luxury stocks. We also offer Foiled Belly Bands if you’re really looking to make an impact. What’s not to love?

QR Codes

Aside from finishes and colour schemes – we’ve got an alternative trend to call out for 2023. QR codes are popping up across all types of stationery, including Business Cards, Postcards and Flyers. We’ve seen a big uptake for this approach on Greeting Cards too, with customers such as Lauren Marina incorporating these little squares onto the back of her cards.

QR codes are a great way to get customers engaged with you brand quickly via their mobile device. Long gone are the days of having to type in a website URL, just point your camera and follow the link – simple. Whether you link directly through to your website, or use the code as a means of offering a VIP discount – there really is no wrong way to go about it.

We’ve recently written a blog about some of the top QR code generators available for free. You can check them out below!
