Uncoated
Uncoated paper has a soft, natural finish that absorbs ink, giving a muted look. It’s perfect for anything that benefits from a warm, authentic feel rather than bright colors. Its non-reflective surface also makes text especially easy to read.

Gloss
Gloss paper has a sleek, shiny surface that makes colors pop and images look sharp. Perfect for projects where you want high impact, its finish adds vibrancy and depth, giving printed pieces a polished, professional look.

Matte
Matte paper offers a smooth, coated surface without the shine. It delivers crisp detail with a more refined, sophisticated finish, great where readability matters. This stock balances image quality with an elegant, non-glare look.

Recycled
Recycled paper combines environmental responsibility with quality print results. With its subtle texture and natural feel, it’s an excellent choice for brands or projects that value sustainability.

Which stock should I choose?
The kind of paper or material you choose for your print will affect how your colors look. For example, uncoated paper creates a softer, more muted finish and is great for writing on, while coated papers and materials are best for bright, vibrant colors.
- Text stock is lighter and more flexible - think Brochures, Flyers, or the inside pages of a book.
- Cover stock is thicker and sturdier - perfect for Postcards, Business Cards, or book covers.
- Pounds (lbs) measure paper weight - the higher the number, the heavier the stock. An 80lb text sheet is thinner than an 80lb cover sheet, as they’re measured on different scales.
- Points (pt) measure thickness. One point = one-thousandth of an inch. For example, 10pt cover stock is 0.010" thick.
- An 80lb text stock is roughly 4pt, and an 80lb cover stock is roughly 10pt, however this can differ per paper type.
- While standard paper stocks are typically measured in pounds (lbs) or points (pt), some large format and specialty materials use different measurements depending on the product.
- oz (Ounces) are commonly used for banners, fabrics, and flexible signage materials. A higher ounce number typically means a heavier, more durable material. For example, a 9oz Banner is lighter and more flexible than an 15oz Banner.
- mm (Millimeters) & inches measure material thickness and are often used for rigid signs and large format boards, such as Foam Board or Corrugated Plastic. Thicker boards are generally more rigid and durable, while thinner options are lighter and easier to display or transport.
Can I get free shipping on my order?
Yes - free shipping is available on selected orders. Depending on the shipping zip code, orders may qualify if the total weight is under 10 lb. If your order qualifies, you’ll see the free shipping option at checkout.
What are the binding types available for Catalogs?
We offer three professional binding options to suit different page counts and uses: saddle stitch for shorter Catalogs up to 48 pages, perfect bound for premium, larger publications up to 300 pages, and spiral bound for durable, lay‑flat Catalogs at up to 250 page, making them great for manuals and training guides that use frequent handling. The best binding type for you depends on your page count and how the Catalog will be used.
What is the standard Catalog size in the US?
The most common Catalog size in the U.S. is 8.5 × 11 inches (standard letter size). This familiar format is easy to handle, simple to read, and spacious enough to showcase products, pricing, and images with clarity and impact. Catalog size plays an important role in the overall browsing experience. A well-proportioned Catalog makes product photos easier to view, keeps text clear and comfortable to read, and allows pages to flow naturally without feeling crowded. The 8.5 × 11 format strikes the right balance - large enough to present detailed visuals and information effectively, yet compact enough to hold, flip through, and store with ease.
