Freaky Friday’s Favourites: Special Halloween

We wanted to celebrate everything ghoulish, gory and spooky this Friday, but quite frankly all the designs sent in were far from scary! So instead of giving you nightmares, we bring you design dreams!

Oh, and speaking of design dreams, if you’re been thinking of taking your creative business to the next level, our Business Booster Competition gives two talented creatives the chance to win the ultimate prize package worth more than £3,500 – including a sponsored spot to exhibit at Top Drawer S/S 2018 with us.

There’s no trick or treats at printed.com, just treats!

Prints by Claire Mabbett

Kicking off our Halloween special of creeeeepy customer creations is designer and illustrator Claire Mabbett with her amazing limited edition screen prints. The witches hat as the roof is a perfect dark touch combined with the overgrown woodland. Claire has also been working on some botanical skull designs, which we also think are terrific!

Greeting Card by Dork Features

Welsh graphic designer Lauren Goodland has been plugging her zombie greeting card alongside some of her more sweary cards recently at Newport Market. We’re just glad this one doesn’t have swear words – we’d love to show off her bah humbug Christmas gift tag designs but maybe after we’ve all had a few drinks! Head to her Insta for plenty of inspiration – we love Lauren!

Bespoke Foiled Notebooks by The Curious Department

Creepy crawlies aren’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea we’ll admit, but when they look this gorgeously good in gold foil, suddenly you become the biggest bug fan! The Insect Mandala Notebooks are from The Curious Department’s new stationery range and feature foiling both front and back thanks to our bespoke printing service. Make an eccentric impact at your next meeting with one!

Wedding Invitations by Ruffled Paper Boutique

Michelle Walker creates some seriously stunning wedding stationery, so we had to include her gothic-yet-glam wedding invitations. The pearl paper choice keeps them light and shimmery – the perfect contrast to the dark ink, lace touches and The Nightmare Before Christmas theme!

Greeting Card by Deborah Panesar

Firstly we want to say a big congrats to Deborah on the birth of her beautiful baby! Now, secondly, we know what you’re thinking, Deborah must be supernatural to create such stunning stationery right?! Whether it’s her foiled celestial prints or skeleton illustrations, her work is always pure magic!

Leaflets by Phil Designs

We wish we’d been to this sugar skull soiree after seeing Phil’s fantastic Day of the Dead leaflets. We featured these designs way back in the summer but they deserved an October outing thanks to all the fun colours and details, as well as the Halloween poem!

Greeting Cards by Mia Hague

Eco-friendly illustrator and cardsmith Mia is finishing off our spellbinding customer creations with her rather ambitious cat who has achieved his dream of being an astronaut. Her work is always folksy, mysterious and typically features beautifully drawn animals. We just wish these cards could come to life!

Have a horrifically fun Halloween weekender!
