Your 2016 education print checklist

As the academic year begins, there’s still time to plan for the next term or two. At printed.com we’re helping our education customers have a great start with their school supplies. Here’s a simple three-step education print checklist that means you’ll have one less thing to worry about when class resumes:

1)    Use this quick checklist of essential print items to make sure you’ve got rewards, calendars and stationery covered;

2)    Use your academic email address when you join printed.com and get 15% off any order;

3)    Feel smug at your organisational and money-saving skills.

We’ve split our checklist into four main things you need to cover: brochures and workbooks, display boards, student rewards and academic calendars. Get that lot sorted out and you’ve definitely earned a break – how long is it till half term again?

Brochures and workbooks

Having a professional-looking prospectus really shows your school in its best light to parents, new recruits and funders or donors. Digital print technology means it’s easier than ever to put one together, too.

saddle stitched brochure – ideal for documents of between 8 and 40 pages – you’ll be able to show prospective students and their parents just what makes your school so special. This kind of brochure is also a great way to present end-of-year projects or big pieces of work, and can feature up to 8 different types of paper. We also offer a landscape option for more visual projects.

Things like booklets, manuals and course guides, meanwhile, are usually better served by wiro bound documents. These are great for anything you need to able to flick through quickly and easily, such as workbooks tailor-made for a course plan with your own questions and answers.

To help teachers and students represent your school, it can be great to hand out some professional stapled notebooks. Available in A6, A5 or A4 size, they’ll slip easily into a bag for use in the classroom, on field trips or at meetings and conferences.

Display boards

New display boards around the place can make a big difference to the feel of a classroom, a school or even a playground. With several options for materials available, there are plenty of options depending on the type of display you wish for.

Student rewards

Classroom rewards like stickers and certificates are the perfect way to say well done when students go the extra mile. Customising your rewards means you can encourage effort, improvement, attainment, behaviour, attendance and more – creating a positive atmosphere and giving students a real sense of achievement.

Our Education Collection includes easy-to-use, ready-made templates for certificates and stickers, in a range of high-quality papers and finishes.

Academic year calendars

Ace the academic year with your own branded 2016/2017 academic calendar. Unlike a conventional calendar, academic calendars run from September to August, so they are specifically tailored to your needs.

The dates and days in our quick-order template have all been done for you, so all you need to do is upload the artwork for your covers and hit the checkout. Don’t start the academic year without one!

Of course there are many more ways to put high-quality print products to use in your school.
