Laser Printers Are Taking Over Offices

Laser print technology is growing in popularity within a number of industries. Many businesses are now seeing the benefits with the technology now becoming more affordable, with uptake amongst start-ups as well as multinationals and larger corporations. So what are businesses looking for when it comes to affordable laser printers?

Affordable Laser Printers

It’s not long since, cheap affordable laser printers were a figment of the imagination. But printers, and in particular colour laser printers have developed rapidly in terms of features and price. Not only has the printer come down in price but they are now faster, quieter, more powerful and offer a crisp, quality finish.

The variety of printers has grown in tandem with the demand for new features with specs to now suit every requirement and budget.

Inkjet Cartridges

Ink is not dead though. Far from it. It still rules the office, but now has laser to contend with. When looking to buy inkjet printer and toner cartridges it’s important to know which type of ink cartridges are compatible with the printer. We’ve seen busy office environments come to a complete standstill because the wrong cartridge was ordered or was not sure how to replace it. Ink and toner are quite different products. And many people consider printer ink and printer toner to be the same things. It’s an easy mistake to make, but in simple terms a printer uses either ink or toner.

The function of printer is the main thing to consider when buying a new printer. It is a toss up between laser printers and inkjet printers. A laser toner printer is more suited to heavy use such as the busy office. Many homes would be able to get along with a simple inkjet printer. Once the basics are understood, the choice between ink and toner becomes that bit simpler to make.

Laser toner printers are generally more expensive that an inkjet. Ink cartridges are available in stores however many outlets offer the facility to buy ink cartridges online these days and also offer delivery across Ireland.

The actual size and weight of ink cartridges differ also. The main difference being toner is powder and ink is liquid. Generally toners produce a faster print when creating black and white or colour items and are ideal for the office or busy home user. An inkjet printer produces black and white as well as colour prints  with a crisp, sharp finish.

After the drum is charged, it is rolled in toner, a dry powder type of ink. The toner adheres to the charged image on the drum. ... Most laser printers print only in monochrome.

Laser printers are a lot like photocopiers and use the same basic technology. A laser printer works in almost exactly the same way, with one important difference: because there is no original page to copy, the laser has to write it out from scratch. Many people use laser printers in their day-to-day lives, but most probably never think about the technology that turns those bits of digital data into a legible images and text. visit:
