Trend alert: top 5 wedding trend predictions for 2015

The time has come for wedding stationers to start refreshing their colour palettes, gathering samples and harvesting new ideas for wedding season 2015. Happy couples that have popped the question of the Christmas break will also be looking for a good place to start when planning a wedding for the year, so without further ado, here are our top predicted trends for weddings in 2015…

wedding trends texture

A touch of texture
The trend for textures can be interpreted in several ways, like using vintage lace on the wedding dress, decorations and stationery or embossed icing on the wedding cake. Use of pattern is also a brilliant way to capitalise on this trend, with geometric prints for modern couples and chevrons or herringbone for a more traditional look.

If you’d like to bring some texture into your wedding stationery, browse our range of speciality papers to choose the perfect, touchable paper for invites in 2015.

wedding trends green

Go green
This is a trend that relates mostly to floral arrangements and decorations, but bringing it through into the colour palette and design motifs is also a great way to use it. Bouquets are trending towards leafy, scented and natural looking flora like ivy, rosemary and mint.

Greenery is also a great way to carry off a more simplistic, natural looking wedding theme. Tones of green mixed with creams and nudes are going to be finding their way into a wedding near you soon.

wedding trends photo booth

Fabulous photography
Photo booths with professional photographers—if you’ve been to any kind of formal event recently, we’re pretty confident that you will have experienced this next trend first-hand. Typically the photo booth space will be filled with props for guests to pose with and the photographs can be enjoyed by everyone afterwards.  Choose a few choice favourites and print them using the Photography Collection.

Get personal
If there’s one thing a wedding ceremony should be, it’s personal. The trend for bringing meaningful elements into the big day is gradually gathering momentum. This can be anything from using local produce for the refreshments, to wearing a family heritage wedding dress or incorporating something personal into the design of the stationery.

We think that ordering stationery on unfinished flat sheets and finishing it in-house or at home is a great way to carry off this trend and add a personal touch.

wedding trends champagne

Now here’s a beverage that will never really go out of fashion! Champagne is going to storm the 2015 wedding scene in a big way: champagne towers, champagne cocktails, champagne colour pallets, this trend is going off with a bang!

we're very busy preparing our wedding! :) it's going to be very personal and we hope - unique!
instead of a photo booth we're going to have a photographer and disposable cameras with little competition for our guests.
