Advertisement replaces Olympian Amy Tinkler’s stolen homecoming banner

After a banner celebrating County Durham based gymnast Amy Tinkler’s return home was stolen, worked closely with Heart FM to replace it.

16-year-old Amy won a bronze medal in women’s gymnastics floor exercise at Rio 2016. She was on her way back from Brazil on the special British Airways plane with the rest of victorious Team GB when thieves took the original banner. It was nailed to a fence in her home town of Bishop Auckland, which Paul Anderson, trustee at her local gymnastics club, had made for her return.

Our Customer Service Supervisor Amy Leonard, heard about the theft on Heart FM’s breakfast show while on her way to work at the office in Cramlington, Northumberland. Amy rung into the show and spoke with presenters Justin and Kelly to arrange a new banner to be made by us.

Justin and Kelly swung by the offices to pick up the new banner in the afternoon and had a few pictures with our Amy!

We loved watching Team GB smash the Olympics and we are so happy we could be of service in welcoming Amy back home.

P.S. When an occasion calls for a message that can’t be missed, we recommend our banners – whether you’re an Olympian or just a mere mortal.
