Hello there, people of the Internet! I’m a student at an international school in Denmark, and I came to printed.com for my work experience. Today I'm taking over the blog to let you know how I got on.
I arrived at the office on Monday morning, excited, nervous and ready for work. It was early in the morning (9 a.m.), what can I say? I’m not a morning person. I started off by working with printed.com’s amazing Operations team. Large numbers and spreadsheets on a Monday morning…yay!
I’ve been here a week, and apart from the Operations team, I’ve worked with seven different people in four different parts of the company:
• Tech team – designing with my not-so great friend, Photoshop
• Advertising – searching for people with 100k+ followers on Instagram… it was torture, really.
• Marketing – ending the week with writing about myself—not so bad, eh?
Not only is the office gorgeous and modern, the atmosphere here is just amazing. It’s the perfect mix between hard work and socialising; everyone is kind, polite and completely mad. In all seriousness… our conversations have consisted of forms of advertising, products, designing, smooth peanut butter, T-rexes and the meaning of life, which we concluded, is cheesecake.
Everyone I’ve met has been really welcoming, funny and really easy to talk to. They’ve made my work experience so great, that I’ve actually started considering working for a company like printed.com after university. If I did, I’d want to work in advertising and designing because that’s what I enjoyed the most.
