Launch of the first National Business Planning Week

As Winston Churchill famously said: “He who fails to plan is planning to fail.”

The first ever Business Planning Week is a free week of support to help owner-managed businesses and start-ups to build a plan for growth in simple bite-size sessions. It will take place between 11th and 17th February 2013.
The initiative is run by the team from Your Business Matters Tour – the online community of owner-managed businesses and start-ups – in partnership with the Government and private sector Business in You campaign. It is an opportunity for participants to step back from running a business, review it’s progress and seriously think about how to make it successful. The week’s sessions will cover:

Day 1: Defining Your Business & Aims

Day 2: Understanding Customers & Market Research

Day 3: Marketing & Sales Strategy

Day 4: Operations & Logistics

Day 5: Financials, Funding & Forecasting

Day 6: Staffing & Skills

Day 7: Pulling it all together; Developing Your Action Plan

UK owner-managed businesses and start-ups are invited to register with this free initiative to gain the following:

• Access to seven business planning templates
• Support materials and articles to help you complete each template
• Access to the Business Planning Week Forums where you can ask questions and share knowledge
• The opportunity to network with like-minded business owners and quality suppliers of business services

Qualification for free guest passes to the Your Business Matters Tour events.
