Fast expanding web shop printed.com has launched a new product range for the hugely popular photo-sharing app Instagram. Customers can have their favourite Instagram images from their mobile devices brought into physical reality as prints and stickers. So rather than losing track of their best photos in digital folders or online galleries, they can have their best photos printed up for display using printed.com’s state-of-the-art digital presses. Instagram has over 100million users that use the app’s filter effects to create different moods in their photos.
Prints and stickers
The polaroid-style Instagram prints are on heavy gloss card featuring a white space at the bottom for writing a caption. Square stickers are offered in bundles of 24, 48 or 72 with the option to upload many different images or 24 of the same. The new products open up possibilities for sharing, creating montages, photo albums, and for customising folders, instrument cases, mirror frames and other items.
The company has chosen to launch the Instagram prints and stickers with a competition called Print My Throwback. Inspired by the Instagram phenomenon Throwback Thursdays, users post pictures from their past. Users areto tag their retro pics on Instagram using #printmythrowback or #PMTB. The winner gets a set of 36 Polaroid-style prints and 72 stickers to capture that vintage moment. Judges will choose the winning image every Thursday.
