We love a Friday here, but we especially love this week’s because we have not only rounded up some great customer creations for you to nose over, but they are all to do with sports and fitness (and maybe a sneaky extra one at the bottom). Hope you enjoy!
We are big fans of James Carless here, and maybe that’s because his designs are so versatile for so many different occasions. You can’t really go wrong with food puns and cute illustrations can you? Fitting with our fitness theme perfectly, his ‘Bean tennis’ illustration is great fun, especially because of our recent tennis successes thank you Andy Murray! His ‘Pork Chop’ is also very reminiscent of the taekwondo contest this week.
Based in the heart of Shropshire, Sanda Design is a passionate and exciting graphic design and marketing service. Creative Director Kieran Sperring got in touch with us to show some sports related creations they’d made for clients. We really like the fantastic leaflets they designed which encourage youngsters to get involved in summer gymnastics, and how chic is the stationery they designed for their Pilates instructor customer?
We did think Corin Campbell’s beautiful designs were too pretty to be in our sporty special, but then we thought about all the amazing cycling GB have done, and we couldn’t leave out these gorgeous greeting cards, complete with an illustrated bicycle. Corin, an illustrator, homeware and giftware designer based in Hinckley, has also created a matching bike tea towel!
Gyrokinesis and pilates instructor Lisa Corner, based in Edinburgh, received some lovely business cards and flyers through us. Lisa teaches weekly group classes and personal one-to-one sessions, and has informed us Gyrokinesis is an up and coming exercise (Andy Murray is a fan apparently) that gives you a good workout but also makes you feel strong, calm and relaxed. Sign us up here Lisa!
Bespoke design company Design Your Day typically produces stationery for weddings, birthdays and christenings, but also football matches! Owner Sarah Woods, based in Earlsfield, south-west London, creates the programmes for Everton FC Ladies home matches and prints the saddle stitched brochures through us.
Not sports related at all, but for his Herculean efforts, we wanted to include Xavier Marseille. Parisian born Xav is now based in Colchester and has been working on producing a ‘Then & now’ series of artwork, which involves merging old and new pictures together. He bought his recent postcards showcasing his work from us, and we can’t wait to see more concepts from Xav. Visit his Twitter to find out how you can help his fundraising project!
