It is Friday! Yes, we love celebrating the end of the week, and not because it’s the end of work, but because we get to show off our customers’ creative designs! Warning: pretty pictures below!
These stunning nautical beauties are by Little Lights Invites, and are completed with bespoke envelope liners and stickers also by us! Caroline, who runs the business, has a background in graphic design and a love for creative quality items. A regional finalist in The 2016 Wedding Industry Awards, Caroline is super talented and loves a bit of sparkle and colour. Check out her favourite creation from us on her Instagram; some very tropical invites and matching envelope liners.
These artistic postcards are by London based illustrator Amy Higgins. Her practice focuses on building 3D and 2D compositions with a mix of materials. Amy likes to explore handcrafted image creation by using bold colours and various textures, hence why these postcards look like they are about to come to life!
These brilliant postcards are completely customisable using photographs from the actual wedding day. Saying thanks to all your lovely guests and helpers from your big day is really important, so it’s great to see Jenna from Wonderland Invites tapping into this. After working in media for seven years, Jenna decided she needed a change and so started creating candleholders and vases from up-cycled glass bottles. Then weddings came to the fore after she was asked by friends to create stationery items for weddings, and that’s how her business truly began.
Hertfordshire based graphic designer Samantha King specialises in bespoke wedding stationery, unique prints and even vintage crockery hire! Her Instagram is perfect for anyone who likes afternoon tea and paper and penmanship perfection basically. She’s amazing at rustic invites – perfect for the upcoming season! In her spare time Samantha loves tea (surprise!) chunky knits, sewing and taking pictures of her cats. We want her to be our new bestie.
Illustrator and print designer Rosie Harbottle takes some seriously dreamy pictures. Her gorgeous design work takes centre stage on her business cards she recently purchased from us, and we are big fans. Rosie is also the co-owner of KIN Botanical Workshops in Devon, with the countryside of the moors and the coast a big influence on her designs, as well as Morocco where she spent some time working.
Glasgow based graphic designer Fiona Gauld is back on the blog again – is this a monthly love affair Fiona or what!?! Fiona runs the small multi-disciplinary agency Caledonian Cowgirl and has 16 years design experience. By the looks of things, Fiona loves a bit of colour and a pop of impactful illustrations. She’s also a dog lover and has a pet border collie called Rascal.
