While we wanted to celebrate everything ghoulish, gory and spooky this Friday, quite frankly all the designs sent in were far from scary! So instead of giving you nightmares, we bring you design dreams!
Oh, and speaking of design dreams, our finalists for our laser-cut contest are now on the blog so if you want even more inspiration head over there and let us know who your favourite is. There’s no trick or treats at printed.com, just treats!
Handcrafting floral designer Katie Hughes has an excellent eye for colour and detail, which is why we were delighted she was happy with her gorgeous business cards from us. As an independent wedding and events florist, Katie provides flowers for all occasions across Hampshire, Surrey and the rest of the UK. After starting out as a Saturday girl in 2010, she’s now a fully-fledged flower fanatic, and has just launched her new website this month.
We love a bit of art deco design at printed.com, and these Great Gatsby inspired 30th birthday party invitations are right up our street. Printed on our Pearl Oyster paper stock, they are simply divine! Surrey based Emma, the lovely lady behind Chubby Sparrow Designs came up with the idea for her business, which specialises in printable invitations and DIY paper goods, while out for tea and scones. An excellent way to start a company we think!
Portfolio postcards on a wall showcasing all their amazing projects was a fab idea, courtesy of ID Architecture. The award winning practice is based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, and they obviously have a passion for design and well-crafted building solutions. We can’t wait to see even more postcards by them as their images are so inspirational and innovative.
Now we were massive cheerleaders of the Olympics, so this customer creation put a little smile on our faces. Featuring gold medallist Laura Unsworth, Illustrator and Graphic Designer Lucy Collins created these perfect postcards for Cranleigh based SJB hockey academy. Lucy is based in the Surrey Hills and is inspired by her surroundings as well as human experiences, community, forgotten places and history.
A little bit of a zesty colour palette will definitely get people looking forward to this Spring 2017. Offering pretty paper goods for life’s loveliest celebrations, Love Paper Co is a stationery boutique based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and is always so luxurious. A simple yet classy design, they have nailed modern and stylish design AGAIN. You guys!
Quite frankly, we are gutted we didn’t get an invite to this party. Don’t these cats look like they are having the best time at their cat disco? Next time yeah? Anyway, Mia Hague has been busy designing some new greeting cards, and we are big fans of her work. Based in Manchester, Mia is a printmaker and cardsmith, selling cards to the UK, but also to Ireland, Australia and the USA.
